PinPointGPS for golfers is a great new, low cost Blackberry application for golf players of all standards, showing the distance in yards or meters, to the centre of the green. This simple but effective golf yardage application has been developed by single handicap, experienced golfer Peter Rackham. Using a GPS enabled phone, you can tell the distance to the centre of the green from any point on any golf course*. You can also plot hazards, temporary greens and measure the length of your shots. The key to the success of PinPointGPS is its ease of use, accuracy and the way it can speed up play.

When in use, PinPointGPS continuously displays the yardage to the centre of the green for the hole selected, from wherever your GPS enabled Blackberry mobile device is positioned. At the same time the screen can also show the distance, in yards or meters, to any hazards such as ponds, ditches, bunkers, streams or the distance to any prominent landmarks, trees or dog legs. These are all easy to set-up with a few key presses and are saved for the next time you play that golf hole.

PinPointGPS golfers yardage tool can also display the official distances from each Tee, the standard par for the hole and the handicap stroke index for each Tee position. Simply press the SPACE bar to get the standard information, the distance to the centre of the green remains in view, then press SPACE again to return the main screen for the golf hole that you are playing.
